Incontinence Disease – What Causes It, How To Fight With It, Keep Your Normal Life While Curing From It
Sometimes, when certain parts of secretory system fail, a person can no longer control secretory activity leading to incontinence – fecal or urinal depending on the failing part. You can adjust your life rhythm to it, while trying to cure yourself. Curing in common case will not be long and hard to achieve, so don’t despair.
While the majority of cases is caused by some physiological problem, there is a possibility of psychological reason – oversensitive nature, strong stress or anxiety are likely to cause such type of problem in children and young teenagers. Prognosis for them is excellent – they will most likely forget about them having problems until they reach adultness.
In the case of adult patient reasons are most likely physiological. Symptoms may be caused from many things – infections, prostate problems (in case of urinary incontinence), common diarrhea attack, food poisoning can also cause heavy symptoms. In rare cases reasons are more severe – genetic disorders, chronic decease, some kinds of storage capacity problems. You should check with appropriate specialist as soon as possible in case of any symptoms of any type of incontinence.
Common symptom of fecal incontinence is minor bowel leak of fluid one cannot control or stop. While not considered so serious condition, you should seek help of your GP to get help immediately. You should not give up just because you have complicated condition; chances are you will be fully cured within reasonable amount of time. In more serious cases, you should take a break from your work, and relax for some time, to cope with psychological effects of the disease and the cure.
You should not feel doomed or condemned or things like that – human organism is extremely complicated system, and anyone can become ill. Consider this, and seek immediate help, do not be ashamed!

Elder Care – Understanding the 5 Types of Urinary Incontinence
Are you or your elder frustrated with frequent wetting instances? Many folks think that urinary incontinence (the fancy name for wetting oneself) is a normal part of growing old. While this issue can be tied to some age related issues, in many cases, it can be avoided. Avoiding this situation if at all possible is important for many reasons.
First, many senior who experience this tend to withdraw from social interaction due to the embarrassment it causes. Many attempt to hide the problem and won’t even talk about it with their doctor. Urinary incontinence is one of the leading reasons for families placing their loved one into a long term care facility.
The good news is that urinary incontinence can be cured or at the very least improved in 75-80% of the cases. Even with this high rate of success, it’s estimated that roughly 60% of those affected people don’t actually seek medical help. These folks go through life suffering needlessly.
There are five types of urinary incontinence. Your doctor will be able to run tests to determine which type your elder is affected by and will help them take steps to eliminate or lessen the problem.
1. Temporary Incontinence
This is when the bladder control is lost suddenly, but inexplicably returns just as quickly. Constipation, changes in medication or a recent injury are all causes of this type.
2. Stress Incontinence
In this case, urine will leak out of the bladder when they laugh, sneeze, cough, get up from sitting position or lifts a heavy object. This is the most common type of incontinence and is almost always curable.
3. Urge Incontinence
Also known as overactive bladder. This condition is very common in women over the age of 75. In this scenario, the bladder contracts and releases urine involuntary and without warning. The elder will feel a significant urge to urinate and can’t make it to the bathroom in time. Causes can include infections, stroke and early stages of bladder cancer.
4. Overflow Incontinence
This is normally found in men with enlarged prostates. The prostate gland blocks the passageway for the urine, which makes it impossible to completely empty the bladder. Urine overflows from the bladder which causes dribbling and spotting on pants during the day. This can lead to a serious situation such as bladder and kidney infections. My dad had this situation which lead to a serious blood infection that almost cost him his life. Causes include weak bladder muscles, and nerve conditions.
5. Functional Incontinence
In this type, physical or mental disabilities prevent your elder from getting to the bathroom in time. In other cases, the elder’s brain may not get the message from the bladder that it’s full and that it’s time to head to the bathroom. Without the brain’s involvement, the bladder simply spills over. Causes can include stroke, dementia, a head injury or physical limitation, like arthritis.
When your elder is faced with the embarrassing situation of wetting themselves, get them to a doctor as soon as possible as they may be part of the 60% that can be cured of this malady.

Incontinence Strikes Many
Here We Look At The 4 Types Of Incontinence And Their Impact
What many people do not realize is that incontinence isn’t actually a disease in its own right, but is actually a symptom of some other health problem. If a person does not actually manage the problem then it can lead to other problems arising for the person suffering from it.
So what can cause a person to suffer from incontinence during their lives? Below we take a look at a number of the reasons for why people not only in their 60′s or 70′s but even those in their 20′s can suffer from this particular problem.
Cause 1 – A person who is overweight and especially if they are classed as being obese can suffer from this condition. The reason that they may suffer from incontinence is down to the fact that strain is being placed on their bladder and the muscles surrounding it constantly. As a result a small amount of urinary leakage may occur, especially when they sneeze or cough.
Cause 2 – The next reason for a person suffering from this problem is if they smoke a great deal. Those who are classed as heavy smokers find that they may develop a chronic cough and this eventually leads to strain being placed on the muscle that prevents urine from leaving the bladder. One strain is placed on the urinary sphincter then of course every time they cough a small amount of urine will escape from its bladder.
Cause 3 – For those who suffer from incontinence the reason they do is because of the amount of caffeine or alcohol they consume. These leads to them becoming diuretics and as a result whenever they drink they find that their bladders fills much more quickly than is considered normally. As soon as they begin to drink they find that they then urgently need to urinate.
Cause 4 – People may find that they have this problem if they enjoy participating in certain activities such as jogging. Although men may suffer from this problem it tends to be women who suffer from this issue as they find that many activities place a great deal more pressure on their bladders.
Above we have taken a look at a few of the reasons why people may suffer from incontinence, but there are plenty of others including a person’s age, how much stress they are under. Also the risk of women suffering from this problem is far greater than it is for men. They are especially at risk from suffering from this condition when they are pregnant when they are giving birth or when they are going through the menopause.
